My Approach
I fell in love with narrative writing in college when I interviewed my grandmother about the Great Depression for a history paper. That experience taught me something I carry into every project: everyone has a story with valuable experiences, insights, and observations worth preserving.

What sets my work apart is my ability to conduct deep-dive interviews (typically 50+ hours per project), capture and maintain authentic client voice, and navigate sensitive or complex subject matter with professionalism and care. I'm a strategic listener who knows how to ask the right questions—and when to follow the story wherever it leads.

My background in history gives me the research skills to verify details and build context. My fiction training helps me structure narrative arc and develop compelling prose. But the most important skill I bring is something harder to quantify: I understand that your story is not mine. My job is to honor your voice, respect your vision, and deliver a manuscript that reflects your truth with the craft and professionalism it deserves.

Originally from Canada, I now live in Brooklyn, New York, and work with clients nationwide and internationally. Before becoming a full-time writer, I taught fifth grade—an experience that taught me patience, humor, and how to explain complex ideas clearly (skills I use in every client interview).
Working Together
I manage the entire book lifecycle: from initial concept and interviewing through structural editing, tone alignment, and publication coordination. Whether you're working on an executive memoir, a family legacy project, or a narrative that requires investigative research, I bring the same commitment to quality and confidentiality.
